About Motobu Beef

The "Motobu Beef" that we proudly deliver is an Okinawan brand of Japanese Black beef raised in Yanbaru, a World Heritage Site.

Characteristics of Motobu Beef

Gentle sweetness and melt-in-your-mouth texture By feeding our original fermented feed, we raise cows that melt easily in the mouth and have a gentle sweetness. Based on our original fermented feed made from Okinawa Orion beer lees, which has been improved and refined over the years, we devise ways to feed the cows according to their age and type.

Winner of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award for Excellence As a result, Motobu Beef won the "Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award Grand Prize" in 2013. Since then, it has been praised for its gentle sweetness of fat and how well it melts in the mouth, and is popular in a wide range of dishes such as yakiniku, shabu-shabu, steak and hamburger.

Healthy too Motobu beef is raised on an original fermented feed made from Okinawa's Orion beer lees, so compared to regular Wagyu beef, it has a higher proportion of unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid and a lower melting point of fat, resulting in a concentrated flavor that melts easily in the mouth.

Commitment to safety and security

Each cow is assigned an individual identification number, and all information about it from birth onwards is digitized and managed. Our staff also personally see and touch each cow to check for changes in its physical condition on a daily basis. As a farm that currently raises over 2,000 cows at any one time, we practice thorough quality control.
